Day 150: Frost and Flowers

Although the mornings and evenings (even days) are quite cold at sub-freezing temperatures, I am happy to report that the flowers in the University Park are blooming, white, purple and yellow. It has been thrilling to watch their slow progress in my daily walks and runs.

It is unclear if these flowers are wild, as they seem to be growing amidst planted grass, or if they were planted long before, and now their ground is overrun by grass. Regardless, the affect is breathtaking. I'm taking it as a sure sign that Spring is near.

Update: I learned that the flowers were initially planted but have "naturalized" and include crocuses and snow-drops. The daffodils, all pointing South towards the sun, are also in full bloom.
