Thankful for a little Turkey and a White Christmas

The Macey's Day Parade always ends with a bit of Christmas as Santa's sleigh comes floating through.  It's symbolic of American's hankering for staging their holidays one after the other - Christmas doesn't start till after Thanksgiving.

My family tradition is a bit the same way, except we end Thanksgiving Day with "White Christmas," a classic movie with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye (my all time favorite - all of his movies are a riot), famous Alto Rosemary Clooney (aunt to George), and dancer Vera-Ellen.

Although I am far from related family (left my sweetheart in California with his family to come back to school Sunday evening, but have spent the day with a bit of an adopted one here in Philly), I am still fulfilling this one tradition.

Above is a little clip of my favorite song from the movie.

I'm counting my blessings tonight as I go to sleep, one by one.
