Celebrating Three Years

This last week marked three years of marriage to my sweetheart, Theron Lance Toler.

Instead of taking an anniversary trip, we celebrated by going to Evita Monday night (with $38 student tickets, thank you very much!), I made him gluten-free pancakes Wednesday morning (our real anniversary), and Saturday we went on a thirteen mile hike along the Appalachian Trail with London friends that followed us to New York, Courtney and Joe Kimberling.

We have been singing "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" all week and, I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed the sparsity of people on the trail and the amazing fresh air, heavy with sod and tree tulip smells.  Here's to trains that stop at 10-foot platforms just for Appalachian Trail hikers, one wailing Peron, tree tulips, the Kimberlings, and an amazing husband.

  1. This reminds me of a tweet about South Carolina Governor Sanford's alleged whereabouts when he went MIA. His staff lied saying he was hiking the Appalachian trail, but he was actually in Argentina. The tweet said, "Don't cry for me Appalachia. The truth is, I never hiked you."

I can't believe it's been 3 yrs since I roasted you at your wedding dinner. That was fun, we should do that again.;)

  2. Has it already been three years? How wonderful. Congrats to a beautiful couple!
